International Children's Day Action

You live your life day-to-day-

Good things happen to you,

Something upsets you,

Your problems often loom large and unsolvable,

They dampen your spirits and spoil your mood,

Sometimes erasing entire days out of your life

These are days for which other people would give anything. Those people are sick children with a horrible disease - CANCER and the parents of those children. People who truly struggle for life every second, every minute. Any kind of life. Just life.

As you think about it and look at the photographs of these little people looking adult because of their sickness, and as you look into those eyes - often twinkling, which sometimes makes it hurt even more, you realize that here is a real focal point for everything. That being able to help them is something that can lend purpose to your life. Your life will change also. It hurts that you can't do EVERYTHING for them. Worry doesn't leave you as you also have children. You become scared because help is a responsibility that cannot be rejected once you dare accept it. And then you understand that you can handle it. You have just grown yourself.

Grownups, help the children. They are small. Their illness is not their fault. They want to live. They are scared and hurting. The healthy and wealthy are more numerous that those who need help. Please help them emotionally and financially as far as your situation allows.

Please do not bring anything that you wouldn't want for your own child. You can bring fruit, juice or candy. Be sure that they are fresh. The hospital needs pomegranates and pomegranate juice.

The children will receive your gifts the same day.

Let's make this world a little better place.
